Dogtrace GPS: The Ultimate Dog Tracking Application
Dogtrace GPS is an Android application designed to work in conjunction with the DOG GPS X30 device by Dogtrace. This device helps locate dogs up to a distance of 20 km, and the information can be transferred to the phone's application via Bluetooth. The app allows you to view your dog's location on maps, record its and your track, and pair the receiver with other dog owners to display them on the map. The DOG GPS X30T / X30TB version even allows controlling the built-in electronic training collar.
The application comes packed with features that make it a must-have for dog owners. The app allows you to view your dog's location on an online or offline map with track logging, recording of route statistics, and compass function. It can detect dog barking, save waypoints on the map, and measure distance and area on the map. The geo-fence feature lets you create a circular fence (virtual border for dogs) and set alerts for movement/standing of the dog, leaving/entering the geo-fence, and loss of RF signal from the collar. You can even switch the period (speed) of transmitting the position from the collar.
